5 Things you should do during the quarantine.
Stay Home! Stay Safe!

The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.” ― Jordan Belfort (The Wolf of Wall Street)

Many might wonder, why is this quote even here? And some might go on saying, this quote does not make any sense to the topic. Gotcha! This is my damn blog, and I write what I want. Chill, before you get pissed at me and leave, let’s dive directly into the subject of why you all are here.

Respect, love, and support to all the people who are working round the clock and are affected because of this COVID-19 outbreak.

COVID-19 shutdown has shattered, moulded, and has built many people. I am in the third category. The breakdown and quarantine that has been implemented due to the Corona Virus outbreak are building me. Trust me, folks, deep down inside if you sit down for 2 minutes and think you sure will be in any of the three categories I have mentioned here.

The building process is for me hard to take at times, considering the external scenarios. However, the process is making positive changes around me and, henceforth, am going with the flow to build as much as possible personally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Here are five things you should never miss-out and must do during the quarantine.

Disclaimer: These five things have been tried and tested on human — ME.

1. Take care of yourself
2. Learn a new skill
3. Spend time with family
4. Try cooking
5. Adapt to WFH

Take care of yourself: Everybody wanted the world to stay still for a few minutes so you can take care of yourself and be back strongly. Now is the time for it. The world is literally standing still, and you have all the time in the world to take goddamn care of yourself. This will eventually help you to get back to your busy lives even stronger, mentally, and physically.

Learn a new skill: If you are skipping this topic and moving on to the next, you are a lazy ass person, and you desperately need a damn miracle in your life. Learning a new skill is as easy as it sounds. Trust me! I am a technical writer, and now here I am talking to you casually through this blog. Sit down for 5 to 10 minutes and simply write down who you wanted to be when you were 10 years old. Bamm! I just told you the secret. Now you better get your lazy ass up after finishing this blog and start learning a new skill.

Spend time with Family: The people who raised their voices for better work-life balance are the ones who are ready to run to the office the moment quarantine is over. Now is the right time to talk, talk, talk to your family, or they will walk, walk, walk out of your life. Guys, I am kidding, please don’t come back in the comments nagging “FAMILY IS THE ONLY RELATIONSHIP THAT NEVER GIVES UP.”

Try Cooking: Gone are the days women were the best cook in the world. Men rule the world of cooking. People who want to talk against this better google “best chefs in the world” and come back while I move on explaining why you should cook during this quarantine. I just found out cooking is the most cost-effective stress-buster, hence, I suggest you start with boiling water.

Adapt to WFH: Quarantine has made all the companies around the world to adopt WFH policies. This is just the free trial pack the companies have signed up for. Wake up, folks! Remote working is the future. The moment you don’t work efficiently, you are out of the company. No ID cards, no biometrics, and no cafeterias to have fun :P Just you and your laptop. Hence, this is the right time to get adapted and start the practice of working independently and efficiently. OMG, I just got reminded my resume has “team-player” as a personal trait.

Wrapping it: Make use of this quarantine and be a better person when you are out in the world. Take this as time inside a cocoon and make all the necessary transformation and come out as a beautiful person inside out.

This too shall pass folks.
Keep your spirits high, and let’s get through this together.
Happy quarantining!
